Yep, make sure there are rights for all sickness that you can come up with Mark, but make sure you eliminate Christ. Are you an AntiChrist Mark, I think so.
I must admit I have seldom been on your side of the argument, but your defense of the constitution and the Muslim’s right to choose any location suitable for a religious facility gives me great hope and respect for you. I will listen more intently to your commentaries and opinions. I think you have gained a very traditional Christian conservative as a listener. Thankyou for defending our nations Constitutional protectiions.
I watched you several times Mark and I can say without a doubt, you are one of the biggest phony’s I have ever seen or listened too. You take quotes and twist them to say something that was never said. Islam teaches historically that its self-proclaimed founding prophet was a mass-murderer, slave trading, pedophile and you say we should get to know the religion as good American’s. The Branch Davidian’s were really screwed, based on your reasoning Mark.
They could have become one of the world’s great religions. No one has ever shown what Islam does for mankind except they give the world’s illiterate’s a place to go to feel part of. Most Muslim’s have no formal education. Not racist, just fact. Barbara Walter’s interviewed the head Imam in the USA for her ‘Heaven’ special several years ago and he said on national TV that Muslim’s will have young virgin’s and pure little boy’s at their disposal for their personal satisfaction with rivers of wine. Walter’s did not even question what he had said. Sound’s like pedophilia is a big thing in the hereafter in Islam.
Listen to what Islam teaches and why would ANY sane person follow it as a religion? Could you please tell your limited audience Mark what Islam does for the world. For Christian’s? For Jew’s? For Hindu’s? Etc! Etc! Etc!
Would you see if you can find an apology from Sharpton for the racial Tawana Brawley case years ago. He was found guilty, fined and he never apologized for inciting racism, yet he want’s the Tea Party to apologize. A known RACIST calling other people racist. How typical of Uncle Al.
Take down the 3 negative signs and move on Tea Party member’s. Don’t let the racist intimidate you. That’s what they do. General Zulu of the New and Improved BPP calls you racist as his members call for white people to be murdered.
Not a peep out of the people of color community. SOP! I’ve seen Q ball’s that were edgier than Levine. And more honest.
In my opinion!
Have a nice summer.
Wow, Dave, that made my day. I certainly don’t ask you to agree with me every time or even most of the time, but I do hope you’ll become a regular listener.
For many years, one of my most loyal listeners was an evangelical Christian, Vicky from up-state New York. I never spoke to her and I never even knew where in up-state New York she was from. But she was a kindhearted woman and a frequent contributor to my blog and commentator on my radio shows. (You can find some of her comments in the archives of my website by searching for “Vicky”.) We rarely agreed, but we strongly respected each other.
She said she listened in so much because, even though she rarely agreed with me, she wanted to know the other side and thought I presented it fairly. She understood that I passionately believe in my ideals as she did in hers, and as time went on, we found more and more points of agreement.
Sadly, I heard a couple of years ago from another listener who knew her that she had died. And to this day, I mourn her loss.
Vicky, rest in peace. I don’t know whether heaven exists, but if it does, dear Vicky, you’re in it.
Is there a single comment you made about Islam (e.g, “mass-murderer, slave trading, pedophile”) that could not be fairly applied to some Christians at some point in history? That could not, in fact, be applied to some ministers and priests?
Should we condemn all Christians and Christianity because of the actions of some Christians today and throughout history?
Have you ever been to a mosque and heard an imam? I assure you they don’t all preach violence and evil. And shouldn’t we praise the imams that are peaceful even as we condemn the ones that preach violence? In fact, isn’t this the best way to show that we are not anti-Muslim but that we are simply anti-violence?
I have several comments for you Mark! Frankly, you offend me.
1. Obama has socialistic behavior, which is evident in what he has done in the past 19 months, therefore, he is a socialist.
2. I don’t believe he was born in the U.S. If he was, why doesn’t he just produce the damn birth certificate (not the live certificate of birth) and be done with it.
3. I believe he is a Muslim and hates this country.
Further, in regards to the Muslims wanting to erect a Mosque near ground zero, I find this absolutely disgusting. Yes, in this country we have a right to pray under the guise of any religion; however, the majority of Muslims take it further. They are solely out to get anyone who does not believe in their religion. They will destroy those under the guise of their Sharia law - it’s all inter-related. This is not a teachable moment and frankly, Levine, I don’t want to be taught CRAP FROM ANY MUSLIM. Wise up Levine.
In this country we also have the right to freedom of speech, which allows you to get on talk shows and spew your gibberish. The majority of americans do not agree with you or this administration which we now have in place.
Luckily, come November things will change drastically.
I cannot believe my eyes reading some comments here. People, what is soooo wrong about the Muslim community of lower Manhattan wanting to commemorate those who died at the hands of those who abused Islam and its message? I cannot think of a kinder gesture of peace and reconciliation. The hysteria surrounding the building of the centre is used to mislead the public: the centre would not be ON ground zero, but several blocks away.
Theoretically: if a Christian church wanted to commemorate a murdered abortion doctor would you all protest because he was killed by a Christian? Would you also believe Christianity is evil only because there are lunatics in all denominations abusing their holy books for a political / personal gain?
The building of the mosque might be opposed but it is certainly worth, like Mark does, to see whether it would not be the best gesture towards moderate Muslims to show us what Islam is about which could result in better understanding and a more inclusive community. That, certainly, is preferable to having one’s opinions on Islam shaped by those making money pronouncing all Muslims to be terrorists - pretty much the entire fox news.
Mr Ferguson’s ideas are very simple: I do not like the idea, and I’d rather die than listen to the opposing view. How does he argue? He does not. Well, unless shouting and making it difficult for others to put a word in edgeways is argumentation. Ms Kelly, although to be fair, did allow Mark to speak, used her histrionic voice to threaten her viewers with the collapse of civilisation, presenting the plans as if they were another terrorist attempt. Are those the people we should learn from? Someone like Mr Ferguson who says the constitutional right of a religious minority is a “spin”?
You notice how Charlene (above) uses the word “Believe”, in her arguments?
I believe my job will be there always, I believe in Santa Claus.
None of that makes it so.
I believe there are people that have been so propagandized that they would turn in their own family to the NAZI’s. Wait, is there history evidence that proves this beyond a belieg?
Someone is guilty without facts or evidence because you believe. I couldn’t find that in the Constitution. Now tht is a greatt judicial system basic principal for a dictator.
The dispute between the ADL and Fareed Zakaria really saddens me on both sides.
When I was asked to comment on this on FOX, my position — although posed by FOX as the “pro-mosque” position — really was more nuanced and not that dissimilar from what ADL said.
In other words, I:
1) will defend to my utmost the legal right of the Muslim Community center (which houses a mosque among many things in that large space) anywhere on their own private property; but
2) would encourage the Imam to build somewhere else; yet
3) (and this is the part I add to what ADL said assuming the Imam would not agree to build somewhere else, I would strongly encourage him to have a memorial to the 9/11 victims inside the Community Center and to open the Community Center to make sure the entire center, and particularly the shrine to the victims, is open to the public (i.e. Muslims and non-Muslims) to visit.
I’m really sorry that everyone seems to want to jump and point fingers and lock in positions when personal, private discussions and gentle suasion was, I believe, in order.
Let’s start with the ADL.
I would have hoped the ADL would have requested a private meeting with the Imam, where it would say precisely what I just said.
1) We’ll defend your legal right to build the center, in court if necessary.
2) We wish you wouldn’t choose this particular location (and encourage you not to: maybe even help you find a suitable building a bit farther away)
But 3) If you won’t agree to move it, let’s try a compromise where you have a shrine to the victims of 9-11 and the center is open to the public.
I’m actually quite hopeful that the Imam would have agreed to option 3.
Then the ADL and the Imam could stand together in a joint press conference. Wouldn’t that be glorious? And the ADL could say that while they preferred the Imam had not chosen to build the Center so close to Ground Zero, the ADL emphasizes that the Imam and his congregation has every legal right to build the Center and that the ADL is pleased that the Imam has set forth his vision of having a 9-11 Memorial in the Center and the entire Center open to the general public (much as Jewish Community Centers are open to the general public for membership. Wouldn’t it be great if the Muslim Community Center also allowed a small percentage of non-Muslim members?)
If the Imam did not agree to the option 3, the ADL could then have come out with a statement similar to what it said but with the added bonus of saying it tried hard to work out a compromise.
The same is true with Fareed Zakaria.
I wish he had called ADL and encouraged them to support the compromise number 3 — which I think the Imam would have readily agreed to, because he gets to keep his principle of building a mosque anywhere but also it shows his sensitivities to the fact that renegade Muslims did murder thousands of innocent Americans (including Muslims) so close by the proposed Center.
If the ADL had not acted in haste, they could have playsed a real role as peacemaker.
If Zakaria had not acted in haste, he could have played a real role as peacemaker.
As it is, I think both of them were too quick to “choose sides” and less quick to find an acceptable compromise similar to the one I proposed.
So I’m peeved at both the ADL and Zakaria, as well as the Imam because no one suggested my compromise option 3. I really don’t think I can’t be the only one in the world to have thought of it.
Mark LeVine must be the dumbest SOB alive. I just listed to him on Foxnew with M Kelly. He doen’t know true history. He has to be a Progressive or a Communist.

Strength is to accept a mosque as you would a church or a temple. Weakness is to to be eaten up by hate.
