Who is Pastor John Hagee?

Audio

Is he anti-Catholic?
Is he antisemitic?
Is he anti-gay?

Should John McCain condemn him?

Guest: Max Blumenthal

Americans have been repeatedly told
that, "this is a Christian nation" and " America was founded on Christian principles ". This from the political right and the Christian right. The media seems to propagate this.

I won't deny there were Christians of influence during this country's founding. I suggest that it is a long walk from "founded on Christian principles".

When they have said Christian nation, they bundle Christian, Morman, evangelicals, Catholics, methodists, Protestants,Lutheran. As if they are all one big happy believing family church adhering to the exact same doctrine. We saw differently with Romney and Huckabee.

In recent years, there appears to be a huge escalation surrounding power, money, politics and religion.

There has been rivaly between "Christians". Claiming one anothers flocks belongings. As Jim Bakers's church? Like a hostile corporate take over.

Many of these Christian leaders have made some very outrageous and dangerous proclomations. Such as Robertson "calling for America to assassinate a leader of a south American country". Falwell ranting of 9/11 and Katrina is Gods rath on America for sin. Dobson calling for, "men to shower with their young male offspring". Jimmy Swaggart, Ted Haggert, Jim Jones, David Koresh. But they are followed all the same.

For the topic of John Hagee,

" Among the many groups which McCain's new associate has targeted for hateful bigotry are Catholics. As a result, The Catholic League today issued a statement -- entitled "McCain Embraces Bigot" -- which pointed out that Hagee: "

" Has waged an unrelenting war against the Catholic Church. For example, he likes calling it "The Great Whore," an "apostate church," the "anti-Christ," and a "false cult system."
Donahue, Chatolic League

Remember, these all these religions were pasted together for Bush's election by a "Religious right Christian nation".

All of this leads me to a Question for your Guest Max Blumenthal:

1)
Is the Hagee and Catholic League dispute the first sign the Christian right is imploading?

2)
Does Max think these different religions/sects can maintain their alliance(s) that we're all one big Christian nation?

3)
Without killing one another in the future as history tells us religions does?

Here's another question for Max Blumenthal:

1) Is Hagee a dominionist and/or reconstructionist?

2) Does Hagee hate the Catholics and love the Moonies? The Bush family and many of their cohorts certainly do love the Moonies.

How does anyone professing religious credence think they have the right to hate?

Mr Blumenthal mentioned Pastor Hagee's ties to Mike Huckabee. Would you please ask Blumenthal if Pastor Hagee has ties to Reverend Bill Gotherd? See link below for Gotherd info:

Mark,

In view of Obama's pastor (Wright) having recent publicity over some of his audacious sermons.
Wouldn't it only be fair to give some air time in examining Obama's pastors credentials in regards to his endorsement and Obama's participation?
I don't think Obama should be held responsible for some of his pastors firebrand. But it could be interesting to hear the perceptive differences from a Hagee endorsement to a Wright's endorsement. Accompanied with the McCain response to Hagee vs the Obama response to Wright.
Some have said Pastor wright's firebrand questions Obama's judgement. I see it as a religious test.
In part, they enable the religious test and bring it on themselves. When they do this. It forces me to endure it as well.
Where is my separation of church and state in 2008?

I agree. I've talked about Wright obliquely for a few months now. I need to focus on him soon.

who cares? what he is or what he wants the system will come-apart soon and start its attack on people. this means civil and race war inside the former USA, Obama/hillary/McCain all the head muslim and lovers of evil will mean nothing only the fight for freedom and justice.
