Mark and his guest Republican strategist Mike Lane have some surprising announcements to make today.
McCain picks Cheney as his VP for his ticket.
Lieberman and Graham are disenfranchised and become log cabin indepenents in retaliation.
At their age flip-flop is a heart condition not a memory problem.
Posted by: Robt at March 31, 2008 3:02 PMThinking of April Fools.
What fool would let Milicki (Iraq's Prime Minister) send in his newly formed Iraqi military into Basra to fend off Al Sadr and his bunch??
Is this more than foolishness in April? It has a violent chiming of devastation to Iraqi's and the U.S.. "Bush's Quagmire"
Speaking of executive foolishness, "Secretary of State" as a presidential trusted appointee, Condellesa Rice said of Iraq,
"I didn't think it would be easy but I didn't think it would be this difficult".
Bush should be made Iraq's dictator after he leaves the White House as his punishment for his crimes of grandiose ignorance. And Cheney his his evil Egor. Without U.S. troops deployed there that is.
We do not have to wait for the future to judge the President's decision to invade Iraq on the cheap with no after battle planning. The present and past is certified evidence.
What were those initial troop levels prior the invasion, presented by the first General to disagree with Rumsfeld, Cheney and Bush?
Most on the Right edge of the political spectrum will say, "reviewing the President's mistakes, arrogance and lies on how he got America into this mess does not help now."
What matters is what we do now? Ala the surge.
The problem is that anything done with Iraq is coming from the same inane Administration that got us deeper and deeper with no exit strategy.
Yes, exit strategy that was laughed at from the right when those on the left ask of it.
This Administration can not correct anything in Iraq when it learns nothing from its mistakes and never admits to them.
Example of unadmitted mistakes you ask?
NO WMD was projected by most of the world and experts. To this day there are Bush hacks and surrogates that continue to make the case we just haven't found the WMD's yet and that everybody believed there were WMD. For these Rhetorical partisans to enable the falsehoods is criminal.
If anyone doesn't think Al Sadr's army is not ready for Milicki's Gov't army to enter Basra. Attention deficit disorder is effecting your judgement.
The foolishness of America is the lack of heart it has to demand that the President allow the Flag drapped coffins to be shown in the media when returning them home. This is something personally bankrupting the spirit of America to not see the cost (not just in dollars) but in American treasure.
Hiding Our dead from the war is Dishonest, Controlling. Most of all dishonorable to an American who had his life taken in the line of duty of our country.
Every republican (everyone)that ever speaks of patriotism but yet sits by and does not speak out to honor our dead. That willfully do not care to be bothered with the sight of the flag drapped coffins care nothing of the cost in this Presidents foolish corporate endeavor expending life and resources as if human life were just materials as a bullet or monetary currency.
I ask, why does the President ban media coverage of the flag drapped coffins as they arrive home?

I was hoping Mark would repeat last year's April Fools Day show by having all the bloggers say something 180 degrees out of character. How about next year Mark?
Posted by: Skip at April 1, 2008 4:47 AMWell have at it Skip.
Did you hear why Obama will lose the black vote?
He's been heard to say, "I'll make sure that everyone who can work will have a job."
Posted by: Vicky at April 1, 2008 7:48 AMNo need to wait until next year, Skip.
By all means, everyone post an April Fools' Day Comment. I can start by agreeing with Vicky.....
[Vicky, you do know that that's the most racist, disgusting thing you've ever said here, don't you? I can only assume it's part of "April Fools' Day." But still, I thought you would promote a liberal idea as part of your "April Fool." Oh well, humor is in the eye of the beholder I guess. I said some pretty extreme things on today's show as well. Just please don't post this kind of trash anywhere else or people will believe you are racist.]

Good-bye frantic world,
the cosmic clock is calling me
to slip sideways into different reality,
a time-zone aside the neurotic battlefield
and sensations of psychotic swing
between polyester-suited pleasure
and polypropylene-powered pain,
To stand unblinkingly naked inside-out,
unashamedly retired from malignant cause,
tired of paying taxes to hypocrite ideologues.
or tithing aggrandizing self-help gurus
of religious fast-food drive-thrus
selling best sellers
and mimosas to go,
Just a taste for the road,
ya know,
Enabling cheating electronic voting machines
and reasons to rape Mother Earths soul
for Orwellian lip-service slogans
of contempo trendy hip-hop Animal Farm pig slop
watered-down by good intentions
leading half-way along the highway to hell.
Do I need an alibi
to sidle next to calm respite
and bathe in the usefulness of uselessness,
posing a grim smile
that Van Gogh could paint so well,
but probably couldn't sell?
Is this not the precedent of civil disobedience
that an up-dated version of Thoreau's tale would tell?
Skip,
For April fool's 180 degrees.
Inthe face of the majority of Americans that urge an end to Iraq madness.

Posted by: Robt at April 2, 2008 4:07 AMOf course you are offended by my so-called "racist" joke, Mark.
No offense taken though for the comments and disdain that Obama has shown towards whites right?
Including the disdain shown for his own white grandmother who helped raise him.
To say anything about "white people" in general is no better than saying something about "black people" in general. It's just as racist. And it's also "disgusting trash."
After listening in to the show I would like to suggest your next partisan swap-meet to include a third party representative stereo type hack for the swapping.
I suggest Bob Kinkaid as the independent.
With Mike as the Democrat and you Mark as the Republican.
