Which real one?

Survivor or war hero?

Maverick or Bush hugger?

Anti torture or voting in favor of torture?

No tax cuts during war or cut the capita taxes and spend guy?

Free market or Bear Stearns bail out?

Clean above board campaign or hamas for Obama rumor mill John?

Or the latest, Global Warming McCain?

At some point in the campaign John McCain's PTSD has to be brought into question--and how it bears and bares on the intense pressures of the presidency--remember the movie: The Manchurian Candidate?

Is McCain's brain filled with stimuli code words that can direct his actions and/or his metabolism?

Dien cai dau--mao mao!

If the real McCain is the one that jumped on George Bush's "appeaser" comment. Then attacked Obama on it. Then that McCain is in a very sad state.

I think McCain hurt himself even with many republicans. As long as he has tomorrow, he can always deny it as many other flips and flops.

The real McCain is a poor-man's Bob Dole

Posted by: Bob McDole at May 21, 2008 9:43 AM

Did the people see John McCain's lower lip quiver when he said--he will never surrender in Iraq (what does that mean?)--me thinks the man has PTSD that will affect his military decisions as president

Posted by: John McCain has PTSD at May 28, 2008 10:47 AM

Didn't catch the quivering lip action.

Did McCain actually mean he wouldn't surrender in Iraq like he did in Vietnam?

Posted by: Mc Robt at May 31, 2008 2:07 AM

It might not be that tight a political correlation--but rather a mode of thinking that lacks flexibility--like always being 0-1

Posted by: Under 500 at May 31, 2008 9:38 AM

John won't surrender (even if he is not president?).

"What does John think he has to surrender?"

You think its pride they are worried of surrrendering or war profits to the private war profiteers?

Will John support the next president (ifnot John) in the new president's policy of the Iraq occupation ?

Or would John Sydney McCain oppose his president and politically attack from the seat of the Senate? Would that be supporting the troops?

Beer Belly--the question is about how McCain reacts to fear and stress--his answers show inflexibility--not answers conducive to being a good diplomat--and, perhaps, a good diplomat is what America needs most as president---this time around

In retrospect of the movie starring Morgan Freeman and jack Nickelson titled, " The Bucket List".

McCain's Bucket List:

I'll start it with,

-Run for President.
-Start War with Iran.

Any others for Mcain's Bucket List?

John McCain has the allure of an old turtle (watch when he twists his neck)--he gets our respect--but is he really someone we want to follow

Posted by: Red Snapper at June 4, 2008 9:58 AM

In respect of all disabled, veterans, Ex POW's, and those of seasoned years.

For a Conservative, McCain seems to be on veterans welfare. He has been recieving apprx $58 grand a year for his veteran status of disability since release from the vietnam POW camp.

Senator John has had medical care as a Senator his entire career (and house of reps). He has shown no real signs of a disability that keeps him from his Senatorial duties. Drawing a couple hundred thousand salary per year.

If Senator John is fully capable to work and has no disability that excludes him from his job. Why the $58,000 a year tax free on top of his Senator salary?

Recently Senator John released privately and exclusively and limited, his medical records. Those McCain chose exclusively to report what he allowed to see of his records. Reported John McCain in top ship shape health and ready to serve as POTUS.

A disability paying $58,000 per year for his entire life even though he can work and function normally with no self confessed hinderances appears a tad dishonest.

He tells the VA he is too disabled to work fully but works fully?

Is/has McCain been milking the VA benefits?

Does John understand that our troops are being sent in for more duty in Iraq with their disabilities? If we applied present day policy of resending the same troops in for 3-6 or 7 tours that have PTSD, on depression meds, have some physical injuries. Sen McCain would have been sent back in to the war zone for duty after being released as a POW.

Instead McCain gets a lifetime benefit of $58,000 per year. How many others experiencing the same or more than McCain did not recieve $58,000 per year for life benefit? That isn't "too expensive" as John stated of the GI Bill he is against?

Yet, McCain would vote against a GI bill, want American's to go without a social safety net.

McCain talks of Gov't reform but it turns out he is a sapling sucking on the sow that he proclaims to be against and decries of reform.

What a guy. What a choice for POTUS he offers.

Vote for me, because only the special few should have Gov't help? Like John, the Savings and loans bail out, and the bear sterns type deserve Gov't assistance. Those effected by Katrina should be responsible and take care of themselves and not depend on Gov't assistance.

John McCain is the real Mr. Magoo

Posted by: Jim Backus at June 11, 2008 10:24 AM

Even the Republican Party with popsicle sticks--can't keep John McCain propped-up for long

Posted by: Melting Creamsicle at June 11, 2008 10:52 AM

For he who thinks McCain can't be propped up for long.
Bush is propped up on all kinds of drugs and has been for the last 7 years. Cheney is on his fourth heart that all 4 hearts have been aquired from a chinese prisoner that has been convicted from confession. Guess how that confession was attained?

Posted by: Robt at June 17, 2008 3:05 AM

Here he comes--there he goes--he can even blow his nose--and they call him John McCain (He'll get more votes if he changes his name to Magoo)
