And a big Amen to you brother Mark on your topic

Or as a republican said during his campaign for a local office in the early 80s: "Profit is the most beautiful word in the English language". I had a radio alarm back then, and I had to wake up to that crazyness every day. It was like the movie Groundhog Day, except much worst. Unlike the movie I could change the radio station. It didn't help. The creep was on every station.

Living Humility

Enough is enough
when more becomes less
at the zenith of sharpness
where further honing of the blade
just creates dullness,

A cup overfilling is spilling,
a dying kitten is screaming,
and death becomes a gentle expression
of loving mercy.

A point of saturation is reached
when more riches just bring insecurity
and honor and pride puff
into a vacuous cloud of vanity,

And it is time to retire
from the treadmill of ego's desires,
allowing the pleasure of being,
rather than trying and doing
for the sake of personal reward,

Accepting the humility of the Tao
as a guide-on
to true contentment.
