The only Arab democracy in the world could not last even three years....

When the Iranian-trained terrorist group Hezbollah invaded Lebanon and used it as a staging ground to invade Israel, the world solemnly promised Israel and Lebanon that Hezbollah would be stopped. The United Nations Security Council voted to disarm Hezbollah and sent in tens of thousands of troops to Lebanon in order to convince Israel to give up its right of self defense under international law.
Israel accepted the word of the world. Boy was that a mistake. Israel knows better than to trust the United Nations or the world. But the Bush Administration forced it to do so.
The real victims: the Lebanese. This week, in a stunning coup d'etat, Hezbollah killed just enough Lebanese to take over the Government and ensure the end of democracy in Lebanon forever. And those tens of thousands of UN troops stood by blankly. I guess they were too busy playing in their bunks than fulfilling their UN mandate.
Stupid Lebanese. They should never have trusted the world or the United Nations.
Haven't they learned by now that solemn world promises in the United Nations aren't worth the paper they're written on?
And as Iran took over Lebanon this week, nary a whimper was heard by the rest of the world. And Israel knows it's next on Iran's voracious list to devour.
I disagree with the Bush Administration on more than 90% of its policies. But if you want to know why some in the Administration want war with Iran, ask yourself: why was Lebanon allowed to be devoured last week? Why doesn't the world care about its solemn promises to what used to be the only Arab democracy on earth?
I don't support war with Iran either. But if the world keeps appeasing Iran, then yes, war will happen. Only Iran will be more powerful when it does.
First they came for Lebanese, but I was not Lebanese, so I did not speak out.
Next they came for me, and there was no one left to speak out.
Goodbye to the "Paris of the Middle East." You were a lovely country, the most educated and sophisticated and free in the Arab world. You kicked out your Syrian occupiers and started a real democracy.
And it lasted only three years....

Some say Sunni jihadists, like (Al-Qaeda-related) Fatah-al-Islam which was indirectly funded by Bush, according to Seymour Hersh on The Redirection, was even worse.
Anyhow, what's the nature of the top Executive Leaders that the Bush admin installed in Iraq. Maliki (Dawa) and Hakim (Badr) are reportedly the MOST pro-Iranian parties or groups in existence in Iraq. Even a Dem Senator from RI told that to Lindsay Graham.
So what's up with that?

Bush has thrown money and arms at virtually all of the combatants in Iraq--indiscriminately--and Lindsay Graham is just another mouthpiece for this madness--nuthin up with that--it's all downhill on the dung heap
